What does the MhIST board of trustees/directors do?

MhIST directors serve as charity trustees and company directors of MhIST and ensure that it meets its legal obligations as a registered charity and company limited by guarantee.
It is responsible for the effective management of MhIST.
It is the foremost decision-making committee and bears ultimate responsibility for MhIST.
It has financial oversight of MhIST affairs.
It is the employer of MhIST staff.
Trustees/Directors give advice and support to MhIST staff.
It supports and promotes the aims and objectives of MhIST.
It makes plans for future development and sustainability.
It safeguards and actively promotes the good name of MhIST.
It promotes the values and ethos of MhIST.
Trustees/Directors are not involved in the day to day running of the organisation. i.e. they have no authority to tell staff (or others) what to do etc.
