The governance, management and structure

MhIST is a charitable company limited by guarantee, incorporated on 21^st December 2000 and initially registered as a charity on 19^th October 1994. MhIST was re-registered as a charity on 15^th June 2009. The company was established under a Memorandum of Association which established the objects and powers of the charitable company and is governed under its Articles of Association. In the event of the company being wound up, members are required to contribute an amount not exceeding £1.

The Board of trustees/directors is the governing body of MhIST and is responsible to the membership for setting the strategic direction of the organisation.  The day to day operations of MhIST are delegated to the manager who is supported by the operational Leadership Team.
