We continue to support you.
Like many organisations we are intent on continuing to offer our therapy support to people during the ongoing emergency. The current government guidance indicates that it is not appropriate to continue with face-to-face counselling and this has been paused. The MhIST buildings are all now closed until further notice. There are no staff on site and all operations are running remotely. All of our team are working from home and have been gearing up to work with you in a new way.
For existing clients, we would like to offer the following options:
- Online video therapy
OR
- Telephone therapy
If these are not appropriate our suitable for you, then we suggest:
- Putting therapy on hold until physical face-to-face work can resume (we are expecting several – at least 6 – months wait)
OR
- Having a planned ending session (over the phone)
The are team are contacting existing clients by telephone to discuss these options and identify preferences.
Zoom online video therapy
If you would like video counselling, then this will be offered via the Zoom video conferencing App. How this all works will be explained when you are allocated and there is some simple instructions in the Frequently Asked Questions – to get you started.
Therapy will happen online and you will have a regular weekly session time and therapist.
Telephone therapy
We can also offer telephone therapy. As with online therapy you will have a regular weekly session time and therapist.
