If your parent becomes seriously ill. 6. Sometimes it can help to help to keep a record of behaviour. 7. Try not to argue with your parents when they are ill. 8. Expect less from your parent. 9. If you are having an emergency with the person you care for, in the first instance contact their care manager. If this is the out of hours contact: 01204 390745 and ask to speak to the duty social worker.If all else fails take the person you care for to the Accident and Emergency Unit.
